Germany’s Sascha Ring is a busy bee. If he’s not creating electronic soundscapes every weekend in shows all over Europe as alter ego Moderat, he’s working as Apparat; the lofty floating vessel Ring boards when a more relaxed mood suits him. This September sees the fourth release under the Apparat name: The Devil’s Walk (9/27/11). Much of the albums inspirations came from the recording process in the small Mexican coastal town of Sayulita. In furious crashes and receding tides; the ocean can be heard within the heart of each song.
Download two of the new album’s tracks, “Black Water” and the wonderful “Ash/Black Veil”, which Sean previously reviewed here.
