The third song off October 11th’s On The Water from the vastly underrated Baltimore band, Future Islands, has been let loose. “Balance”, complete with waves crashing in the fore and background along with possibly the first (i’ll argue) accordion/trumpet tag-team intro in Indie music history, is the crazy-feet dancing soundtrack for your Saturday nights in those sub-basement bars. The paint is peeling, and layers of dust (wink/nod) float in the air, but that wood-paneled floor is the best place in town to unlock your body. So sling back your scotch and roll up your sleaves; “Balance” wants you to set you free.
