Formerly known as Dark Captain Light Captain, the now truncated Dark Captain make the same brand of breathy nostalgia, rich in all sorts of textures and sights suited for old Pine forests and Oak groves. “Submarines”, off their new album Dead Legs & Alibis, is a wonderful example of this, giving room for the piano and guitar to do a lovely tango. The London quintet are available for your movie’s next soundtrack. They specialize in slow motion things falling/people dancing scenes.
Download “Submarines” and its single mate, “Bellcurve” below.
And in lieu of their new Right Way Round EP, which features remixes and a bonus version of “Jealous Enemies”, we have the video.
(Dead Legs & Alibis is available now from LOAF Recordings)
