Natureboy is not a boy. It took me a while to figure that one out. Not because of her looks: she’s indeed a bonny lass, but rather because the vocals Sara Kermanshahi are ambiguously delivered: neither masculine nor feminine. And that lends a fantastically malleable characteristic to all of her lyrics and choruses; they could be about anyone or anything. They are yours to claim and interpret.
And for the first time in the United States, Natureboy’s self-titled debut is available through Bleek Records. Natureboy (stream-able here) has been making its exclusive rounds through Europe where fans have been gobbling show space up as fast as they can.
