Cincinnati’s own Walk The Moon are releasing a new EP this very day! When I heard the news last week, I was pretty thrilled, and now that they’ve given a streamable taste of the Anna Sun EP in single “Next In Line,” I’m downright salivating over the forthcoming sophomore full-length from Nicholas Petricca and co., which is set to drop in the near future on RCA Records. It’s the same hard-charging keyboard-and-synth-driven pop we got from Walk The Moon’s self-released 2010 record I Want! I Want!, and I instantly recognized it as “that song I loved” from the band’s show in Columbus opening for Fitz & The Tantrums last November.
These guys are set to blow up in a major way — their performance from The Wiltern in Los Angeles will air on Live With Carson Daly on February 16, and they’ll make a splash on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon April 5 — with the release of this album, and you should grab the EP that’s out today to help support some nice guys who make fantastic indie-pop music. If you haven’t yet, check out our interview from last fall with the band’s lead singer Nicholas Petricca, and stream “Next In Line” below!
