Susanne Sundor: “White Foxes”

0 Comments 17 October 2012

For something that sounds like a dire and looming wave of manic curiosity, “White Foxes” by Susanne Sundfør is a key brush stroke on her brand new album, The Silicone Veil.  It’s electronic rush hour with Kate Bush swinging above the lanes on wire rigs; a zip-line through a blinking digital forest.  Sundfør goes off the typical path quite a bit on the album, loitering in some instrumental bits and using the occasional odd example of imagery (see “gravy of your soul”), but her vocal talent is a force to rock you on your heels.

An amazing bit of evidence on a live take of the album’s title track, “The Silicone Veil”
