The Wounded Jukebox,
started in 2009 after our founding staff graduated from Wittenberg University, where we had spent most of our free time hosting radio shows and playing/exploring music. Out in the world, our honest desire to share music with others needed an outlet. So now, after we punch our time cards at our day jobs, we love to come home and find great music, and share it with you.
A brief bit about The Wounded Jukebox’s slammin’ staff.
Sean occasionally goes to concerts alone because he’d rather see the show than miss out on it and have someone else tell him how awesome it was, even if Gabby never even liked the band and only went because she was trying to impress some dude she met at a bar. He will listen to anything at least once, but makes no guarantees about subsequent listens. He dreams of a world where The Wounded Jukebox is a household name, but will settle for people listening to music in their homes that the blog recommended. He trusts this happens, at least occasionally. Because of this, you might call Sean a “dreamer” or a “hopeless romantic.” He wants to be your lover. Musically, not biblically.
Matt has facial hair and wears zip-up pull-overs. When alone, he unlocks his body and moves himself to rattle along with Beck’s “Black Tambourine”. He believes ex-Catholic school students creeping through a field and then instrumentally assaulting a vampiric (Catholic) nun camp would make for a better video of “Brother” by Annuals. He hates jewel cases, but loves the music that comes in them. Matt misses the music when it’s turned off.
Glenn likes traveling the world learning about different cultures and music. He has a wide range of tastes from world music and folk, to hip-hop and blues. You may find him singing to the moon in Spanish, or knocking down 3-pointers in the gym. You just never know.
